September 12 - 21, 2006. It was based on the plein-air study below.
The above, larger studio painting was done from a small plein air study, shown below, that I painted on-site. It’s 8 miles from where I stood to the base of Mount Moran (10-1/2 miles to the peak). It's a breathtaking view in person.
