At the heart of the historic campus of Longwood College along High Street stood the domed Rotunda of Ruffner Hall. Surrounded by red brick Jeffersonian buildings and the adjoining Colonnades walkway, the majestic Rotunda had long been a prominent architectural feature on campus and represented the historical center of activity and learning for the college.

This limited edition print of an original oil painting depicts the Rotunda through the leaves of early April as the dome glows in the warm morning sunlight, and the bright green lawns come alive with new life, symbolizing new growth and achievements in the classroom.
