The Harbor at Vernazza
Plein Air Oil on Canvas Panel 16 x 12 Inches $1200 Framed
Vernazza is one of the most scenic of the five fishing villages known as Cinque Terre, located on the Italian Riviera. Its homes are built into cliffsides dropping sharply to the sea. Protected by a natural harbor and a castle dating back to the middle ages, Vernazza is graced by colorful boats, moored to red buoys, that remind us of the days before tourism when fishing was its main industry. This painting is a plein air done on the breakwater looking back across the small harbor to the waterfront of Vernazza.
