| “Study of Underwater Rocks” (String Lake) May 26, 2005 | |||||||||||||||||||
| I was so taken with the patterns of underwater rocks and fallen trees in String Lake that I decided to do a study of them. I had to work fast once I found this spot after hiking quite a ways because the sun sets early when you are on the eastern base of a tall mountain! The water is so pretty, blues and greens, and sparkling in the sunlight. The fallen trees lead your eye into the picture while the underwater rock collections form interesting abstract patterns with varying refractions of sunlight filtering down to them. A couple of kayaks passed by, and later a canoe, but I decided to let only God’s quietest creation speak here.
